Nursing Education : Nurse Life Care Planning

Demand for Nurse Life Care Planners is growing. Are you?

The majority of Life Care Planners are nurses in independent practice. Nurses typically choose Nurse Life Care Planning as a career enhancement and earn an average of $150/hour. Studies show several Nurse Life Care Planners will retire within the next 5-10 years, which leaves the door wide open for you! FIG Nursing Education is the perfect way to prepare for a successful future!

FIG offers an educational course entitled Nurse Life Care Planning - Through the Ages. This educational course is taught from the perspective that the nursing process is the foundation of nurse life care planning.

Nurse Life Care Planning - Through the Ages has been pre-approved by the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) for 120 contact hours toward the continuing education of a nursing licensure.

The Nurse Life Care Planning – Through the Ages education course has been acknowledged by the CNLCP® Certification Board as meeting the educational requirements necessary to sit for the Certified Nurse Life Care Planner (CNLCP®) exam.

The NurseLife Care Planning - Through the Ages education course has been pre-approved by the International Commission on Health Care Certification (ICHCC) as meeting the educational requirements necessary to sit for the Certified Life Care Planner (CLCP) exam. The Nurse Life Care Planning - Through the Ages course provides 120 hours of learning through a recorded webinar, on-site class, independent study, completion of Nurse Life Care Plan report, and mentorship with experienced Certified Nurse Life Care Planners. The student will be provided with instructions, webinar recordings, sample letters/reports and templates, and homework assignments on CD/DVD through the US mail or electronic downloading. In an effort to be a good steward of the earth, a printed/hard copy of the course materials will not be provided. All course materials are provided in an electronic version. The student has the option to print the course materials or view in an electronic version. To promote the learning environment, students are encouraged to contact the Instructor with questions/ comments during the course. The 120 hours are divided into 11 sections which must be satisfactorily completed to receive a certificate of completion. These sections can be purchased individually ($75 per contact hour) or as a complete course ($7,000). This price includes a 20+% discount if the student purchases the complete 120 hour course at time of registration. Contact hours have been approved by the NCNA for the full course (120 hours). At this time, individual contact hours will not be given for each section. These sections include:

Sections 1-10 are taught in a recorded webinar with homework assignments. Rather than sitting in a classroom setting for numerous hours, you have the convenience/ comfort of sitting in front of your computer at work or home. A recorded webinar is cost effective by eliminating airfare, travel, hotel, and meal costs. A recorded webinar also reduces time away from work and family. The recorded webinar allows you to view the slide presentation and listen to the audio from the Instructor. You will be able to pause, fast forward, and rewind the recorded webinar - to learn at your own pace. Homework assignments will be given at the end of each section to assure you are on target with the learning process. You will also be able to email/call the Instructor with questions or comments.

*The student has the option of choosing a recorded webinar with homework assignment OR on-site classroom setting for Section 11. If choosing the on-site classroom setting, the student will attend a 2 1/2 day classroom setting in beautiful Asheville, NC. Choosing the on-site classroom for Section 11 is strongly recommended and considered to be the clinical/hands-on portion of the course. The on-site classroom setting will consist of no more than 10-12 students and 3-4 Instructors to provide a round table learning environment. Students will have the opportunity to interact with instructors on a one-on-one basis and see actual Nurse Life Care Plans regarding the case studies.
